The second day of Côte d’Ivoire’s National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group kicked off in Abidjan on July 9, 2026, with Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé leading the charge to unlock private sector investments.
The high-profile event, held at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, brought together over 700 investors from allied nations, marking a pivotal moment in the country’s economic strategy. The gathering served as a platform to showcase Côte d’Ivoire’s growth potential and secure commitments for key sectors outlined in the PND.
Investors rally behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic vision
In his opening address, Prime Minister Mambé emphasized the critical role of private capital in accelerating the PND’s implementation. « This gathering represents a new milestone in our consultative process, focusing on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation,» he stated. « The participation of more than 700 investors from friendly nations underscores the confidence in our economic trajectory and the opportunities Côte d’Ivoire offers.»
The Prime Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind the country’s economic transformation. With a 6.5% average growth rate over recent years, Côte d’Ivoire has cemented its status as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.
Mambé reassured investors that the nation’s resilient economy, which has adapted successfully to global challenges, remains a stable and attractive market for long-term investments.
Strategic sectors in focus for PND 2026-2030
The Prime Minister outlined key priority areas where private investment is urgently needed:
- Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition.
- Infrastructure development, including transport, digital networks, and logistics, to boost competitiveness.
- Human capital investment, innovation, and essential services to foster a productive and inclusive economy.
The government’s ambitious plan aims to leverage private sector participation to achieve sustainable growth, create jobs, and strengthen Côte d’Ivoire’s regional leadership.

- Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI).
- Mehdi Tazi, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM).
- Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
These stakeholders expressed unwavering confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision and pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND’s objectives.
