The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in France has lodged a formal complaint with French authorities following incidents of flag desecration and verbal attacks on Moroccan supporters in Aubervilliers, which unfolded after the Morocco-Canada FIFA World Cup 2026 match.
In an official statement released the same day, the Embassy condemned the acts with « utmost severity, » labeling them as « serious and disgraceful. »
The communiqué further details that multiple verified and documented accounts confirm the Moroccan flag was publicly torn, burned, and destroyed by individuals shouting slogans linked to Algerian origins.
