Morocco shares anti-corruption expertise with Chad

In Rabat on Thursday, July 9, Hicham Balaoui, the King’s Attorney General at the Court of Cassation and President of the Public Prosecution, held a productive working session with Ousmane Abderamane Djougourou, the Inspector General of Chad’s Independent Anti-Corruption Authority. This significant meeting was part of a working visit specifically designed for Chad to gain insights into Morocco’s extensive experience in both preventing and suppressing corruption.

During the session, Mr. Balaoui outlined the core elements of Morocco’s robust anti-corruption framework. He underscored the comprehensive legal and institutional structures that have been established, along with the strategic penal policy pursued by the Public Prosecution’s Presidency in this critical area. The discussions also delved into a comparative analysis of best practices in the global fight against corruption.

The Chadian delegation also explored several innovative initiatives spearheaded by the Public Prosecution’s Presidency. Noteworthy among these were a dedicated direct telephone hotline for reporting incidents of corruption and embezzlement, and the advanced digital platform known as «e-TABLIGH». This state-of-the-art tool enables citizens to securely report various alleged acts of corruption, with all submissions processed using the latest digital security technologies.
