The Moroccan Attorney General at the Court of Cassation and head of the Public Prosecution Service, Hicham Balaoui, hosted a working session in Rabat on Thursday, July 9th with Chad’s Inspector General of the Independent Anti-Corruption Authority, Ousmane Abderamane Djougourou. This meeting was part of a working visit aimed at exploring Morocco’s experience in preventing and combating corruption.
During the discussions, Hicham Balaoui outlined the key pillars of Morocco’s anti-corruption framework, emphasizing the legal and institutional mechanisms implemented, along with the public prosecution’s strategic approach in this field. The talks also covered comparative best practices in anti-corruption efforts, as highlighted in an official statement.
The Chadian delegation gained insights into several initiatives spearheaded by the Public Prosecution Service, including a dedicated hotline for reporting corruption and embezzlement, as well as the digital platform e-TABLIGH. This system enables citizens to report suspected corrupt acts while ensuring secure processing through cutting-edge digital technologies, according to the statement.
