The second day of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, focused on investor engagement, kicked off on July 9, 2026, in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

« This marks a pivotal phase in our consultative process, centered on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation, » he stated. « Our goal today is to secure the private investments essential for turning this development vision into reality. I am pleased to report that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined this critical gathering. »

With business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives flocking to Abidjan, the Prime Minister highlighted how this forum serves as a vital platform for dialogue with industry stakeholders, fostering a shared vision for the nation’s growth.

« With your commitment, you are placing your trust in Ivory Coast’s economic potential and growth prospects, » he told attendees. « You are key partners in realizing our ambition to build a more competitive, job-creating economy. The success of this vision depends on your willingness to invest. »

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Ivory Coast’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the country’s resilient economy—with an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—has consistently proven itself as one of Africa’s most dynamic markets.

« Today, you are presented with a rapidly expanding market brimming with opportunity, » he emphasized. « The discussions and agreements forged today will fast-track investments in the NDP 2026-2030 priority sectors, particularly industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, infrastructure development in transport, digital innovation, and logistics to enhance competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to build a more productive and inclusive economy. »

He also noted that the first day of the Consultative Group, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Ivory Coast’s development strategy, saw participation from over 3,000 delegates across 49 countries, including Ivory Coast itself.

Leaders from Ivory Coast’s private sector and international business organizations echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the Confédération générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee at MEDEF (France), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), all reaffirmed their confidence in Ivory Coast’s development vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the NDP 2026-2030 implementation.
