Abidjan — The second day of Côte d’Ivoire’s National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, was officially inaugurated on July 9, 2026, at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire. The event was led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, who outlined the government’s vision for mobilizing private investment to drive economic transformation.
Addressing a gathering of over 700 investors from allied nations, the Prime Minister emphasized the critical role of private sector engagement in accelerating the country’s development agenda. « This gathering marks a pivotal step in fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors to unlock Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential. Together, we will channel resources into high-impact sectors that generate jobs and sustainable growth, » he declared.
With a strong turnout from business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, the Prime Minister highlighted the forum as a vital platform for aligning strategies and strengthening partnerships. « Your presence here underscores your confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic trajectory. By investing in our nation, you are not only supporting our growth but also shaping a future where opportunities abound for all, » he added.
Ivory Coast’s economic momentum drives investor confidence
The Prime Minister reassured participants that Côte d’Ivoire remains a resilient and competitive economy, with an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years. He pointed to the nation’s ability to adapt to global challenges, reinforcing its position as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.
« This is a market on the rise, offering unparalleled opportunities for those ready to invest in our future, » he stated. The day’s discussions focused on accelerating investments in key sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local raw material processing, infrastructure development (transport, digital, logistics), human capital investment, innovation, and services that foster productivity and inclusivity.
Global partners pledge support for Côte d’Ivoire’s development goals
Earlier sessions, centered on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 delegates from 49 countries. The Prime Minister underscored the success of these engagements, which laid the groundwork for the current investor-focused discussions.
Speaking on behalf of the private sector, Ahmed Cissé, President of the Confédération générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), along with leaders from Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF) and Confédération générale des Entreprises du Maroc (CGEM), reaffirmed their commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s vision. They pledged substantial financial contributions to support the PND 2026-2030, aligning with the country’s ambitious goals.
