Algerian prime minister concludes official visit to Niger
The Algerian Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, departed Niamey on Wednesday, wrapping up a high-profile official visit to Niger that included the inauguration of the 40-megawatt Algerian-Nigerien Solidarity Power Plant.
This strategic energy project was gifted by Algeria to Niger as a testament to the deep-rooted bonds of brotherhood, cooperation, and solidarity between the two nations. It marks a significant milestone in strengthening Niger’s energy infrastructure and advancing its developmental goals.
Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, representing Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, jointly inaugurated the power plant alongside Niger’s Prime Minister, Mr. Ali Lamine Zeine Mahaman. The ceremony highlighted the robust energy cooperation between Algeria and Niger and underscored the shared commitment to mutual progress.
Following the inauguration, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb was received by Niger’s President, General Abdourahamane Tiani, to whom he conveyed President Tebboune’s warm greetings and Algeria’s unwavering dedication to deepening the ties of solidarity and cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
At the conclusion of his visit, Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb was bid farewell at Niamey International Airport by Niger’s Prime Minister and Algeria’s Ambassador to Niger, Mr. Ahmed Saadi.
