During the fifth United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit (UNCOPS) held in New York on July 8 and 9, Gabon reaffirmed its commitment to international security cooperation. Addressing the gathering, Adrien Nguema Mba, Minister of the Interior, Security and Decentralization, underscored the urgency of real-time intelligence sharing and joint data collection to counter transnational threats. He was joined by General Serge Hervé Ngoma, Commanding Officer of the National Police Forces, who emphasized the critical need for collective action against organized crime, terrorism and cross-border criminal networks.
