Gabon political movements unite after nationwide tour to strengthen 2025 reforms

The Gabonese People’s 7 Wonders Party (7MP) and the Oligui Nguema 100% Movement (MON 100%) concluded their nationwide tour on Friday at the Cité Damas, presenting a detailed report of their 4–25 June 2026 mission across all nine provinces. The press briefing highlighted key findings from the outreach and outlined future strategic steps.

Led by Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma, founder and president of both 7MP and MON 100%, the delegation engaged directly with citizens, grassroots activists, and local leaders. The tour aimed to assess public sentiment and evaluate the country’s social and political climate following the 2025 presidential election.

During the journey, the movements strengthened internal cohesion by unifying their organizational structures. « Since June 4, 2026, 7MP and MON 100% have worked as one force to sustain the momentum set in motion after February 8, 2025 », Ndzengouma stated.

Throughout the stops, discussions focused on pressing citizen concerns: youth employment, access to clean water, road conditions, healthcare, education, and the rising cost of living. « We traveled to listen firsthand and measure realities on the ground », he explained.

The leadership also announced upgrades to their provincial coordination networks, updated member databases, and new sign-ups. « This journey enabled us to identify fresh local leaders, deepen MON 100%’s presence in every province, and collect 1,000 new membership forms », Ndzengouma noted.

Several political figures attended the press conference, including Angélique Ngoma, Secretary-General of the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG), and Gervais Oniane, President of the Union for the Republic (UPR).

Oniane urged political parties to prioritize dialogue and collaboration. « It is vital that parties work together in unity and accountability to support the nation’s major reforms », he emphasized.

By the close of the event, 7MP and MON 100% proposed launching a consultation platform uniting political forces backing President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema. They argued this forum would enhance coordination among supportive parties.
