Senegal and Morocco played out a tense 0-0 draw at Rabat’s Moulay El Hassan Stadium on Monday evening, the final Group A match of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. The stalemate sealed the Lionesses of Teranga’s fate, ending their campaign at the group stage.

The Moroccan side, playing on home soil, had already booked their quarter-final spot and aimed to close the group stage undefeated while securing top spot. Senegal, under head coach Mame Moussa Cissé, needed a victory to stand any chance of advancing as one of the group’s top two teams.
