Ousmane Sonko concludes Touba visits, highlights religious leaders’ peace efforts

Concluding his significant series of courtesy calls in the revered city of Touba, Ousmane Sonko, the President of the National Assembly, embarked on a final sequence of important engagements. His itinerary included separate audiences with esteemed spiritual figures: first, Serigne Cheikh Say Mbacké, the revered Khalife of Serigne Souhaïbou Mbacké; subsequently, Serigne Cheikh Mbacké, who serves as the Khalife of Serigne Abdoul Khadre Mbacké; and finally, Serigne Fallou Mbacké Ibn Serigne Souhaïbou Mbacké, where his day of profound exchanges drew to a close.

During each of these stops throughout his impactful tour, the President of the National Assembly was keen to acknowledge and underscore the vital, eminent role played by these religious authorities. He specifically praised their steadfast commitment to safeguarding peace, ensuring stability, and strengthening national cohesion across the nation.
