National OHADA law excellence competition set for Niamey, Niger in 2026

The OHADA Club UAM/FSJP, in partnership with the International Committee of the OHADA Genius in Training Competition (CIGHO), is delighted to host the prestigious National OHADA Law Excellence Competition 2026. This significant event, a highlight in the legal calendar for Niamey, Niger, aims to identify and celebrate outstanding legal talent.

This selective competition welcomes all students enrolled in their third year of a Bachelor’s degree (Licence 3) or any Master’s program from both public and private universities across Niger. Additionally, students from accounting schools are also encouraged to participate in this challenging legal contest.

Applications are currently open and will be accepted until June 15, 2026. Prospective participants must register as teams, each comprising three (3) candidates. A mandatory requirement for team composition is the inclusion of at least one female student, fostering diversity within the competition.

Targeted Participants

• Law students (Licence 3 and Master levels)
• Economics students (Licence 3 and Master levels)
• Students from the Justice Section of the National School of Administration (Licence 3 and Master levels)

Competition Rounds

1. Written Assessments: 

• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) covering various legal aspects
• Questions focused on African integration principles
• The intriguing “Who Am I?” challenge
• Relay Questions testing quick thinking and knowledge

2. Oral Component:

• A compelling moot court exercise (Plaidoirie) where teams present legal arguments
