The commander of Libya’s armed forces, General Saddam Haftar, paid an official visit to Chad this week, where he met with President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno at the presidential palace in N’Djamena. The two leaders engaged in in-depth discussions on pressing regional security issues and explored avenues to strengthen bilateral cooperation in defense and related sectors.
Speaking after the talks, General Haftar highlighted the long-standing and fraternal bonds between Libya and Chad, reaffirming his country’s commitment to deepen military and security collaboration.
