Scottish football club Celtic has successfully secured the services of Egyptian winger Haitham Hassan, finalizing his transfer from Spanish side Real Oviedo. The agreement spans four seasons, committing Hassan to Celtic Park until the summer of 2030, a development initially brought to light by prominent journalist Giorgos Tsarouchas.

Confirming the breakthrough on his official ‘X’ account, Tsarouchas reported that a full agreement had been reached among all involved parties. The talented Egyptian player readily accepted the enticing proposal from the reigning Scottish champions, while Real Oviedo signaled their readiness to sanction their star’s departure, with only a few performance-related bonuses undergoing final negotiation.

Significantly, the transfer deal includes a substantial financial incentive for both Haitham Hassan and his former club, Real Oviedo. This bonus would be activated should Celtic successfully qualify for the coveted UEFA Champions League league phase, a detail Tsarouchas had previously hinted at in a report published on July 26.

Celtic’s management has been making strenuous efforts to finalize what Tsarouchas described as a ‘colossal’ acquisition. Their objective is to secure the player he lauded as ‘the World Cup sensation and Egyptian superstar,’ whose exceptional display against Argentina had generated immense interest. Real Oviedo, for their part, sought a transfer fee in the range of €6 to €7 million for their prized asset.
