European Union envoy presents credentials to Chad’s president

In a formal ceremony steeped in tradition, His Excellency Amador Sanchez Rico, the newly appointed Ambassador of the European Union to Chad, officially presented his credentials to His Excellency President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno on May 19.

The historic event unfolded at the Palais Toumaï in N’Djamena, attended by Honorable Fatimé Aldjineh Garfa, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, overseeing African Integration and Chadian nationals abroad. The European diplomat was accompanied by Ms. Sona Jarosova, Head of the Political Section, and Mr. Karl Rawert, Head of Cooperation for the European Union Delegation in Chad.

This official act marks the formal commencement of Ambassador Sanchez Rico’s three-year mandate in Chad, a period dedicated to fostering stronger ties and driving impactful initiatives.
