Le Collectif des descendants de Serigne Touba has filed a complaint against Ousmane Sonko for spreading false news and defamation. The plaintiffs are represented by Me Aboubacry Barro.
The complaint stems from Ousmane Sonko’s statements, which included claims that money had been diverted to Touba, stating it was the country’s funds being stolen.
He also stated that this financial windfall was not intended for politics but rather to satisfy ‘political demands’.
