Chad is taking decisive steps to combat human trafficking, especially targeting vulnerable groups such as women and children, by rigorously enforcing existing laws. A formal circular has been distributed to security and judicial officials, emphasizing the urgency of this fight and outlining clear protocols to follow.

Human trafficking remains a severe violation of human rights, often manifesting in forms of sexual exploitation and forced labor. As a signatory to the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime since 2009, Chad has enacted several legal frameworks to address this crisis, including Ordinance Nº006/PR/2018 and Law Nº12/PR/2018.

Authorities are now tasked with conducting swift investigations, drafting detailed reports, and ensuring that all cases are promptly transferred to the appropriate courts. Each case must also be reported to the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Justice and the National Anti-Trafficking Commission for meticulous oversight.

Provincial delegates have been assigned to ensure strict compliance with these directives. This coordinated effort aims to establish a comprehensive national database, forming the foundation for a robust and effective anti-trafficking strategy in Chad.
