This stance was officially conveyed during a joint statement following high-level talks between Burundi’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and Development Cooperation, Édouard Bizimana, and his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, who oversees Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad.
