In a significant political development, Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye officially removed his Prime Minister, Ousmane Sonko, from office on Friday evening. The decree also dissolved the entire government, following what has been observed as months of growing discord between the two prominent political figures. Sonko had previously served as a key political mentor to President Faye.
