Ousmane sonko and pastef conclude extensive jolof outreach, inaugurating new departmental headquarters

PASTEF-Les Patriotes successfully concluded a dynamic two-day political engagement across the Jolof region. This significant tour, which encompassed all 19 communes of the Linguère department—from Dahra to Barkédji, including Sagatta and Yang-Yang—saw the active participation of party leader Ousmane Sonko, alongside Minister of State Habib Sy, numerous national executives, and key allies from their coalition.

The extensive itinerary featured crucial meetings with local religious and traditional authorities, as well as direct engagement with the party’s grassroots structures, including youth movements, women’s associations, and executive committees. Following this impactful mobilization, the local party leadership unveiled its strategic roadmap for upcoming initiatives. With the official opening of the new departmental headquarters and the commencement of membership card distribution, PASTEF aims to significantly reinforce its territorial presence through a community-focused approach across the department’s villages and neighborhoods.

In parallel with these internal organizational efforts, local political officials are extending an open invitation to militants, sympathizers, and political figures from other affiliations who are interested in joining their ambitious territorial development project.
