Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS’ strategic move: acquiring SICTA for a new era in Côte d’Ivoire

The holding company Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS has officially announced its acquisition of SICTA (Société Ivoirienne de Contrôle Technique Automobile), the long-established leader in Côte d’Ivoire’s automotive technical inspection sector.

During a press conference held in Abidjan on April 29, David Fofana, CEO of Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS, elaborated on the SICTA takeover and the significant progress achieved in the year since its effective integration. Through this absorption, Mayelia not only gains SICTA’s rich 50-year legacy of experience but also injects a powerful new dynamic of innovation into its operations.

A primary objective articulated by the leadership is to substantially enhance the user experience. This ambition is viewed as highly credible, given Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS’ proven track record, notably with the launch of Mayelia Automotive, which notably reduced waiting times to just 30 minutes, thereby setting new service standards within the industry.

The company is also committed to aligning with the government’s stringent “Zéro complaisance” policy. By doing so, Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS positions itself as a crucial state partner, dedicated to bolstering road safety and actively working to decrease traffic-related fatalities across the nation.

Beyond its core automotive technical inspection services, Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS has solidified its position as a rapidly expanding, multisectoral group. Driven by a bold pan-African vision and a strategy centered on synergistic activities, the group currently operates in two countries and oversees six distinct subsidiaries. These entities are strategically positioned across vital sectors including mobility (Mayelia Mobilité), technology (CIEIRIA), training (Mayelia Academy), and specialized technical inspection services (Mayelia Automotive Côte d’Ivoire, Mayelia Automotive Guinée, SICTA).
