Paris Saint-Germain has set the tone for a busy transfer window with its first major deal of the summer. The club has officially announced the departure of Gonçalo Ramos, one of its most reliable strikers, who is heading to AC Milan on a long-term contract.
After three seasons in the French capital, where he contributed to multiple trophy wins including two consecutive UEFA Champions League titles, the Portuguese forward is making a high-profile move to Italy. AC Milan wasted no time in confirming the deal, specifying that Ramos has signed a contract valid until June 30, 2031.
The transfer marks a significant milestone for the Rossoneri, as Gonçalo Ramos becomes their most expensive signing in club history. While the exact transfer fee remains undisclosed, reports suggest Milan will pay an initial €74 million, with potential add-ons that could push the total to €80 million. This places the deal just behind Neymar’s 2023 move to Al-Hilal—PSG’s record outgoing transfer for €90 million—as their second-highest sale.
Ramos’ exit follows the footsteps of other recent departures, including Manuel Ugarte to Manchester United and Xavi Simons to Tottenham Hotspur, both for €50 million each. With the summer transfer window now in full swing, Paris Saint-Germain appears to be reshaping its squad under Luis Enrique’s vision for a new era.
