Gabon faces water crisis as FDS urges regulated truck deliveries

The Democratic Socialist Front (FDS) has responded to the government’s declaration of a nationwide water emergency on July 1st, 2026. While acknowledging the need to curb illegal water trafficking, the party argues that abruptly halting truck-based water distribution could deepen supply shortages for already struggling households. Instead, it advocates for strict regulation over an outright ban.
