A supposed emergency meeting allegedly called by Ousmane Sonko at his residence in the Cité Keur Gorgui district has been dismissed as completely fabricated. The unverified report, circulating since early Friday, claimed several key members of the Pastef party—including El Malick Ndiaye, Birame Souleye Diop, Yassine Fall, Daouda Ngom, Abass Fall, and Ayib Daffé—were expected to attend a gathering scheduled for 6 p.m. amid heightened political tensions.
However, a spokesperon for the opposition leader confirmed to our team that no such meeting had been organized, either at Sonko’s home or elsewhere. The source, described as someone with direct knowledge of Sonko’s movements, emphasized that no official invitations were issued and condemned the circulation of misinformation on social media platforms.
