The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is actively seeking to bolster its squad this summer, with a particular focus on Ligue 1 talent. The club has set its sights on Ayyoub Bouaddi, an 18-year-old midfielder whose potential has caught the attention of multiple top European teams. With three years remaining on his Lille OSC (LOSC) contract, Bouaddi’s exit would require a substantial financial package to satisfy the demands of both the club and its president, Olivier Létang.

Létang has consistently reiterated Lille’s desire to retain Bouaddi, whose contract extension was finalized in December 2024, committing him to the club until June 2029. During a recent media appearance, he emphasized the need for an “extraordinary” offer to even consider parting ways with the young talent. “We’ve maintained regular discussions with Ayyoub, and our priority remains keeping him,” Létang stated. “A transfer would only be conceivable if the financial proposal surpasses conventional expectations—well beyond the €50 million mark.”
The stakes have intensified as PSG enters the competition for Bouaddi’s signature. Reports suggest the club has earmarked a transfer fee of €70 million to secure the Morocco international, who has already earned three senior caps. However, the capital’s club isn’t the sole contender; English Premier League side Arsenal has emerged as a formidable rival, actively pursuing the midfielder since the start of 2025.
While Bouaddi has expressed a preference for joining PSG, his openness to relocation to England has been noted by close observers. The youngster’s representatives have reportedly engaged in ongoing dialogues with both clubs, leaving the door ajar for potential negotiations. As the summer transfer window approaches, the race to sign the teenage sensation promises to be one of the most compelling sagas of the season.
