Forum du Justiciable denounces attempts to tie Ousmane Sonko to Ndiaga Seck’s arrest
Babacar Ba, who presides over the Forum du Justiciable, has vociferously defended Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, dismissing any attempts to connect him with the detention of Ndiaga Seck as malevolent insinuation. His impassioned plea to safeguard the Prime Minister’s reputation brings into focus critical questions surrounding ethical conduct in judicial proceedings across Senegal.

Babacar Ba, president of the Forum du Justiciable, has unequivocally condemned efforts to forge a connection between Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko and the ongoing case involving Ndiaga Seck, who was apprehended on suspicion of acts against nature.
In a recent statement, Babacar Ba asserted that Ousmane Sonko, as the head of government, “embodies the governmental institution.” He firmly stated that any initiative designed to “tarnish his image” or “discredit his person” would be unacceptable. The president of the Forum du Justiciable contends that Ndiaga Seck’s arrest cannot be used as a pretext for any attempt to associate him with the Prime Minister, aiming to undermine his standing.
Furthermore, Babacar Ba reiterated that such maneuvers, in his view, directly contradict the fundamental tenets of the rule of law and should not be countenanced. His remarks emerge amid a public discourse where the Ndiaga Seck affair continues to generate significant commentary and diverse viewpoints.
