Gold mining as a driver of sustainable growth in Côte d’Ivoire

Between 2021 and 2025, Endeavour Mining contributed 1.71 trillion FCFA to Côte d’Ivoire’s economy, marking a significant milestone in the country’s mining sector. Of this amount, 644 billion FCFA was directly channeled to the Ivorian state in the form of taxes, royalties, and dividends, as detailed in the company’s inaugural country impact report, titled Creating Tangible Value.

The report, unveiled at Endeavour Mining’s Cocody headquarters on June 29, 2026, highlights the economic, social, and environmental impact of the Ity and Lafigué gold mines over the past five years.

Strengthening partnerships for shared progress

Laetitia Gadegbeku-Ouattara, Vice President of Public Affairs and Country Director at Endeavour Mining Côte d’Ivoire, emphasized that the Ity and Lafigué mines have transformed gold extraction into a catalyst for sustainable development in the region. She reiterated the company’s commitment to fostering trust, transparency, and inclusive growth through its operations.

The financial contributions to the state were broken down as follows: 398 billion FCFA from taxes, 149 billion FCFA from royalties, and 97 billion FCFA from dividends. Additionally, Endeavour invested 904 billion FCFA in purchases from local suppliers, reinforcing its role as a key economic player in Côte d’Ivoire.

The company also employs over 1,350 people, with 94% of its workforce being Ivorian nationals. Furthermore, Endeavour collaborates with 4,390 service providers and 600 local suppliers, solidifying its position as the country’s leading gold producer and a major contributor to public revenue.

Health initiatives reach over 120,000 people
