Three Senegalese supporters who were detained in Morocco following disturbances during the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final have touched down in Dakar. Abdoulaye Dieng, Ibrahima Diop, and Aziz Wade arrived at Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD) at 18:25 aboard a Royal Air Maroc flight, greeted by a jubilant crowd.
The trio were among 18 Senegalese fans arrested after the match against Morocco. After serving a three-month prison sentence, they were released on April 18 and repatriated to Senegal.
