RHDP in Mankono launches political revitalization drive in Côte d’Ivoire

The departmental secretariat of the Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace (RHDP) for Mankono commune and sub-prefecture in Côte d’Ivoire successfully held its political relaunch on July 17 and 18, 2026. This significant event centered on reviewing the 2025 elections, providing essential training for activists, and invigorating the party’s grassroots structures.

Cissé Namory, the RHDP departmental secretary whose political constituency encompasses both Mankono commune and its sub-prefecture, reiterated the unwavering commitment of party members in the Béré region. Their dedication, he affirmed, is crucial for strengthening the presidential party’s influence and presence.

Mr. Namory expressed satisfaction with the RHDP’s victory in the recent legislative elections within his political department, where Deputy Salimata Fofana, spouse Méité, secured the win. However, he also voiced regret over instances of indiscipline among certain members, suggesting that such behaviors had, at times, received backing from some party executives.

“We bear a responsibility for honesty towards our activists to maintain cohesion and ensure the effectiveness of our political endeavors,” he stated, making a strong appeal for enhanced discipline and unity within the RHDP ranks.

The political relaunch was structured around two key highlights. The inaugural day featured a thought-provoking seminar under the theme: “Learning from the last election and charting the course for a new cycle of activism.”

During this session, Professor Soro David, the RHDP’s deputy national secretary overseeing political structures, led a compelling conference. His presentation focused on “The contribution of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 to the development of the Béré region.”

The esteemed speaker detailed the achievements realized in Béré thanks to the PND 2021-2025, subsequently outlining the promising prospects presented by the new PND 2026-2030. “The Béré region greatly benefited from the PND 2021-2025 and stands to gain even more with the PND 2026-2030,” he asserted, highlighting numerous planned projects across vital sectors such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure.

Professor Soro also commended the dedication of regional executives and local leaders who stand alongside President Alassane Ouattara. He emphasized that their active involvement serves as a crucial catalyst for the Béré region’s development and significantly bolsters governmental action in this part of Côte d’Ivoire.
