Ousmane Sonko issues stern warning to prime minister Al Aminou Lo

« Nous savons tout » : Ousmane Sonko hausse le ton contre Al Aminou Lo

In a charged political atmosphere, Ousmane Sonko has issued direct warnings to the newly appointed Prime Minister, Al Aminou Lo, taking issue with his recent public statements. The former head of government urged Lo to adhere strictly to his technocratic role, hinting at significant, yet undisclosed, details concerning their past interactions.

During a press briefing held on Tuesday, Ousmane Sonko openly expressed his displeasure regarding specific pronouncements made by his successor, delivering several thinly veiled admonitions.

The former Prime Minister initially advised his successor to confine himself to his established domain. “I recommend he stick to figures. He claims to be a technocrat, so he should simply adhere to technocracy,” Sonko asserted.

Warning regarding political tensions

Continuing his address, Ousmane Sonko alleged that the current occupant of the Prime Ministry had a notable involvement in the frictions that have strained relations between the Pastef party and the President of the Republic. “We are fully aware of the part he played in the issues prevailing between Pastef and the President. To date, we have refrained from disclosing every detail. He should exercise restraint,” Sonko cautioned.

The leader of Pastef also commented on the new Prime Minister’s demeanor during the announcement of the government list. “I heard him yesterday, during the government’s unveiling, attempting to give lessons. He should begin by applying those lessons to himself,” Sonko stated emphatically.

Concluding with a distinctly firm tone, Ousmane Sonko intimated that he possesses information that has not yet been made public. “We know everything. We have chosen to keep certain facts under wraps, but we should not be provoked,” he asserted.
