Niger President Ousmane Sonko has highlighted the structural weaknesses of African football after a disappointing performance in the recent Mondial 2026.
The leader of Pastef/Les Patriotes and president of the National Assembly pointed out that despite an increase in the number of African teams participating in the tournament, the continent’s football remains plagued by problems such as poor management, administration of teams, and discipline.
