Laurent Esso leads tribute as nation bids farewell to Supreme Court President Alexis Dipanda Mouelle
Cameroon’s Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Laurent Esso, attended the solemn ceremony at the Yaoundé General Hospital morgue on June 25, 2026.
Cameroon’s Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Laurent Esso, represented President Paul Biya at the official farewell ceremony.
Held at the Yaoundé General Hospital morgue, the ceremony honored Alexis Dipanda Mouelle, Chief President of the Supreme Court, who passed away on June 25, 2026.
Attendees included high-ranking officials such as Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute and Jean Nkuete, Secretary General of the Central Committee of Cameroon’s ruling party. Laurent Esso was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Justice, also named Laurent Esso.
The solemn gathering marked the beginning of final respects before Dipanda Mouelle’s state funeral.
