In a recent operation conducted in the northern Borno State region, Nigerian security forces successfully secured the release of hundreds of individuals who had been held captive by a faction of the Boko Haram terrorist group. The captives, including women and children, were reportedly abducted months ago from the community of Ngoshe, located in the northeastern part of the country.
A newly released video by the Nigerian military depicts the rescued individuals, visibly distressed, being transported in open vehicles under the cover of darkness. They were later gathered in an open area, sitting on the bare ground, surrounded by armed soldiers who ensured their safety. The exact number of individuals freed remains subject to verification, with estimates ranging from 360 to nearly 420 people.
