An official dinner in N’Djamena recently celebrated the culmination of a high-level delegation from Sonelgaz International, which completed a three-day working visit to Chad to advance plans for a new 50 MW power plant. Hosted by the Chadian Minister of Water and Energy, the event highlighted the depth of cooperation between the two nations in the energy sector.
The evening featured traditional dances, a shared meal, and the cutting of a celebratory cake, all underscoring the warmth and mutual respect shared by Algeria and Chad. During the visit, the Sonelgaz team conducted on-site inspections, reviewed technical proposals, and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Chad’s energy infrastructure development. Their goal is to boost national electricity access and ensure reliable power supply for local communities.
Chadian officials hailed the project as a landmark initiative, symbolizing solidarity and reinforcing the strong bilateral relationship between Chad and Algeria. The visit concluded with the exchange of symbolic gifts, further cementing the partnership between the two countries.
