Dakar — In a sharp critique of public accountability standards, Thierno Bocoum, leader of the AGIR-Les Leaders movement, has accused Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko of adopting a double discourse regarding political funds. According to Thierno Bocoum, Ousmane Sonko acknowledged receiving approximately 1.77 billion CFA francs annually under the guise of political funds. This revelation, the opposition leader argues, undermines Sonko’s credibility as a champion against embezzlement of public resources. The amounts, he notes, were allegedly channeled through official state channels, yet their existence remained undisclosed for years.
