The President of Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou, and his counterpart from Benin, Mohamed Bazoum, have accelerated the implementation of regional integration projects during their recent meeting.
The two leaders discussed various cooperation areas, including energy, agriculture, and infrastructure development.
A major focus of the discussion was the creation of a new regional electricity grid, which aims to connect Niger, Benin, and other neighboring countries.
The project is expected to significantly boost regional trade and economic growth.
