Marseille set to lose another key player to Italian giants

Just as the departure of Mason Greenwood looms large, Olympique de Marseille (OM) faces another potential blow to its squad. Reports suggest AC Milan is closely monitoring Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, a move that could further reshape the Ligue 1 side’s midfield dynamics.

Højbjerg eyed by Italian powerhouse

While negotiations remain in preliminary stages, AC Milan’s interest in the Danish international is well-documented. Manager Ruben Amorim prefers to assess his current squad during pre-season before finalizing any midfield reinforcements. However, if a key player leaves Milan’s ranks, Højbjerg could swiftly become a top target.

Under contract with Marseille until 2028, the 30-year-old would not be retained at any cost. The club may consider an offer around €10 million—a reasonable fee for a player of his experience and salary. Reuniting with Rabiot in Milan

Upon joining AC Milan, Højbjerg would reunite with Adrien Rabiot, his former partner in midfield at Marseille.
