With the 2026 World Cup in full swing, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is accelerating its summer transfer plans. The French champions are zeroing in on Monaco midfielder Maghnes Akliouche, whose future appears to be taking shape even as he competes for France.
Akliouche’s choice: PSG over English giants
Despite interest from top Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United, Maghnes Akliouche has reportedly made his decision. The 24-year-old French international has made it clear that he would only consider joining PSG if he leaves Monaco this summer. His stance comes while he’s competing in the World Cup, adding weight to his commitment.
PSG’s transfer strategy gains momentum
The Parisian side, fresh off back-to-back Champions League titles, is actively pursuing Akliouche as part of a broader squad overhaul. The club is expected to fund his transfer through the sales of Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan and Kang-In Lee to Atlético Madrid. Akliouche may not be the only arrival, as PSG is also reportedly targeting Yan Diomandé and Alessandro Longoni to bolster their ranks.
As the World Cup progresses, the race to secure Akliouche’s signature is heating up. All eyes will be on whether PSG can finalize a deal with Monaco before the transfer window closes.
