As the 2026 World Cup comes to a close, some players of the French national team are starting to get shuffled around in the transfer market. While Michael Olise is generating interest from several European clubs, it’s also Jules Koundé who could be on the move next. The FC Barcelona would not close the door to letting him go if there’s a good offer.
Towards the end of this Coupe du monde 2026, the French team continues to keep its fans on the edge of their seats. Meanwhile, players like Didier Deschamps are attracting the interest of several European clubs in the transfer market. In recent times, Michael Olise has been mentioned alongside the PSG and Real Madrid, while Malo Gusto’s name is also being linked with Manchester City and Maxence Lacroix with Chelsea. Now it’s Jules Koundé’s turn to be in the sights… of Bayern Munich!
According to Bild, Jules Koundé would be the perfect fit for the Bavarian club at right-back. Sport reports that FC Barcelona won’t close the door to letting him go if there’s an attractive offer on the table for all parties involved. Jules Koundé would likely cost around 60M€ and Bayern Munich will have no choice but to reach this price in order to secure his signature.
The question remains whether the FC Barcelona would be willing to let Jules Koundé go after he recently extended his contract until June 2031. Hansi Flick has often preferred Eric Garcia over him at right-back this season, so a departure from the French defender after the World Cup could not be ruled out entirely. This story is definitely worth keeping an eye on…
