N’DJAMENA — Representing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb arrived in Chad on Monday for a high-level official visit. The mission underscores Algeria’s commitment to deepening fraternal bonds, fostering cooperation, and expanding strategic partnerships with Chad.
The visit follows a long-standing tradition of diplomatic engagement between the two nations, reflecting shared regional interests and mutual priorities. Both governments are expected to discuss avenues for enhanced economic collaboration, security coordination, and cross-border initiatives during the three-day stay.
As part of the official agenda, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with senior Chadian officials, including President Mahamat Déby Itno. Key topics on the table include energy cooperation, trade facilitation, and joint efforts in addressing regional challenges such as climate change and cross-border security.
This visit is seen as a critical step toward consolidating the partnership between Algeria and Chad. It comes at a time when both countries are reinforcing their roles in regional stability and economic integration within the Sahel-Saharan zone.
