The municipal authorities of Abéché have intensified efforts to uphold public health standards by dismantling an illegal slaughterhouse in the Farik Aguek district. This decisive action, spearheaded by the local administration, marks a significant step toward ensuring food safety in the region.
Led by Hissein Hassan Tabit, assistant to the delegated administrator, the operation uncovered multiple instances of unregulated animal slaughter outside approved sanitary facilities. Authorities seized several heads of livestock during the intervention, highlighting the scale of the illicit activity.
The administration of the 1st arrondissement emphasized that all animal slaughter must comply with official health regulations to safeguard meat quality for consumers. In a statement, officials warned that further inspections will be conducted to prevent future violations that could jeopardize public health.
By taking this stance, the Abéché municipality reaffirms its commitment to enforcing hygiene protocols, safeguarding consumer well-being, and fostering a healthier community for residents.
